Promoted by a consortium of sports loving business community members from Thiruvananthapuram, TKFC was formed to bring quality football back to the capital as part of the newly-launched Super League Kerala – an initiative by Kerala Football Association with the approval of All India Football Federation. The club is owned and managed by professionals, led by Dr. MI Sahadulla, KC Chandrahasan, TJ Mathew, G Vijaya Raghavan, R Anil kumar and N S Abhayakumar with a long-term vision of setting up the club’s own football stadium within 3-5 years. The club also has the patronage of Princess Gowri Parvathi Bayi, of erstwhile Travancore, MP Dr. Shashi Tharoor and retired DGP and State Police Chief Jacob Punnoose IPS
